If you head towards the river, cross Lincoln's Inn Fields and behind the Royal Courts of Justice, on Carey Street, you can find the Seven Stars pub, one of the oldest in London. It's not on the tourists' map and you might spot a judge still wearing his wig.
On Lincoln's Inn Fields, you will find Sir John Soane's Museum. One of the smaller, less known museums, it is well worth a visit. We also recommend the Courtauld Gallery in Somerset House: It is tiny compared to the neighbouring National Gallery, but its treasures will amaze you.
If you're more sports-oriented, you can book the tennis court within Lincoln's Inn Fields.
