Elice is a small Medieval village which rises on top of a hill between the delightful, historic towns of Penne and Atri. The ancient centre originally developed around the large castle of Castiglioni and church of San Martino, which are connected by a vaulted passage. The area has a few bars, shops and restaurants with more facilities found in nearby, local towns.
