Your guide to moving to Anerley
Why Anerley is a good place to live
Nestled in South East London, Anerley is a family-friendly area close to Crystal Palace Park, with plenty of greenery, great restaurants and good shops nearby, while being incredibly well-connected to central London.
Just 21-minutes from London Bridge by train, Anerley is also on the London Overground line, linking south London to the east and north of the capital.

What's Anerley famous for?
Anerley is famous for its long-standing association with the infamous 19th century Crystal Palace, after which the park is named today.
A historic glass structure of gigantic proportions, the palace was destroyed in a fire back in 1936, but thankfully the beautiful big gardens remain.
Be sure to visit the dinosaurs if you go. This Grade I listed feature consists of lovingly maintained sculptures of our dino past, while offering a beautiful spot for a stroll and picnic.
The area is also known for being home to notable residents such as Thomas Crapper (no sniggering at the back), who invented the floating ballcock and U-bend we still use in our loos today.
