Two double bedrooms
Discover a delightful two-bedroom stone cottage bursting with character and warmth, perfectly suited as a first home or a peaceful bolt-hole retreat. Nestled in the charming village of Delabole, this home invites you to step into a world of rustic charm with its exposed wooden beams, feature fireplace, and thoughtfully updated interiors that blend traditional appeal with modern comfort.
Over the past few years, the cottage has been lovingly improved and beautifully presented throughout. A newly refurbished entrance porch sets the tone, leading into a spacious living/dining room where a recently installed log burner creates a cosy focal point — the perfect place to unwind after a day on the coast. The kitchen/breakfast room, painted in a striking dark blue, adds a touch of contemporary flair and serves as a sociable, practical space for both everyday living and entertaining.
The bathroom has been smartly refreshed, and upstairs you’ll find two generously sized double bedrooms, including a charming principal bedroom enhanced with decorative panelling, updated doors, and newly laid carpets — adding softness and style underfoot.
Outside, the rear garden is mainly laid to patio, catching the sun beautifully and providing a perfect spot to sit out, relax, or enjoy a summer meal.
Location
Delabole is a thriving village with two popular public houses, primary school, village shop and active community centre. Located just over 2.5 miles from the beach at Trebarwith Strand and just over 6 miles from Port Isaac with a wide variety of shops and facilities at Wadebridge being just under 10 miles away.
Sellers Insight
We’ve loved living in this cottage for the past couple of years — it’s been a truly special place for us. From the moment we moved in, we were drawn to the character and charm of the period features, and we’ve enjoyed putting our own stamp on it by making thoughtful improvements throughout to make it feel even more homely.
The kitchen has been one of our favourite spaces — light, sociable, and ideal for both everyday living and entertaining. It’s set just off the living room, connected by an open doorway that creates a lovely flow between the two rooms while still giving each its own defined space. We’ve always thought the kitchen would really suit a small island to complement the layout.
The fireplace in the living room has been a real highlight — especially in the cooler months — creating a cosy, welcoming atmosphere that makes the space feel extra special.
One of the things we’ve appreciated most is the access to some truly beautiful local walks. Whether it’s a quick stroll or something a bit longer, there are so many lovely routes to explore, and it’s something we’ll really miss.
The neighbourhood itself has a peaceful, tucked-away feel, with genuinely lovely neighbours who create a warm and friendly sense of community.
The garden has also been a real highlight — it catches the sun beautifully on nice days, making it a perfect spot to sit out, relax, or enjoy a quiet moment.
We’ll miss the calm and comfort this home has given us, but we’re excited for someone else to enjoy it just as much as we have.
