The layers include a top canopy from surrounding larger trees, a middle Layer with a prunus mahleb and amelanchier, a shrub layer containing a variety of fruiting shrubs, a herbaceous layer made up of a matrix of structural pieces surrounded by dense planting of perennial veg and edible wildflowers, including ferns and grasses to naturalise the space, ad finally ground covers using rambling species chosen to fill and cover ground over time, limiting weed invasion.
