Lovely Victorian Mid Terrace Cottage Located Close To Train Station
A Victorian terrace home with driveway parking, a 60' rear garden, main bedroom, four piece bathroom & a wow second bedroom with a mezzanine level. Also with two reception rooms, a refitted kitchen, utility room and downstairs shower room. All within walking distance of the town centre.
Sellers View...“I viewed over 20 properties in the area before falling in love with Gordon Road. Unsurprisingly, the mezzanine level sold it for me! Such a cool space which I chose to use as a study and 2nd lounge for hosting family and friends.
I loved the original Victorian features and character of the cottage, with cast iron fireplaces, large front bay window, sash windows, stable door to rear and oak flooring throughout. It’s a 4 minute brisk walk to the London bound station platform and further short walk to the Rye park and town centre.
The rear garden is surprisingly peaceful and not overlooked from the rear, again, perfect for entertaining in the summer months.
I’ve enhanced the property with upvc sash windows all round, shutters to the front, 4 piece en-suite bathroom and wood burner (so cozy during winter!), refitted traditional kitchen with butler sink, bespoke cupboards and shelves in the 1st reception room as well as a fresh lick of paint throughout. The property is perfect and ready for the next owner to enjoy.”
Michael's View...This is a great cottage, I even like the view of the old factory set behind the back garden. Two reception rooms, two bathrooms, two bedrooms & driveway parking. Everything you could want in a first time purchase.
Area View...A very short walk to the train station and a little further to the centre of town. The Rye Parkland is also within a 10 minute walk. The road itself is made of predominantly semi detached houses built around 100 years ago for the railway workers. There are a couple of purpose built apartment blocks and the rest are properties that have been converted in maisonettes - just like this one.
