Tucked just 600 metres from the heart of Bourne End village, this spacious three double bedroom end terrace townhouse offers a rare opportunity for buyers looking to put their own stamp on a home. The property is in need of redecoration and a new kitchen, making it ideal for those seeking a project with potential. Sellers View...12 Riverside is a welcoming home, I felt this when I first walked through the door to view it, and many people have mentioned it to me. It is cool in the summer and warm in the winter, a house where people, friends and family gather spontaneous-, for mea family house, with many extra delights.
The house backs on to the river Wye, which seems part of the garden., to sit by it in the river in the early morning and to see kingfisher’s, swallows and occasionally large rainbow trout, the ducks and moorhens with their chicks in the spring, and the grandchildren feeding them on scraps.
Summertime bbqs in the garden, which becomes part of the downstairs of the house, there is parking for up to 5 cars, unique in our block. The rooms are large, and feel spacious, with two bathrooms and a toilet on each of the three floors. The restaurants in Bourne End are good, all within walking distance, particular favorite is the ferry, which locals call captain hooks!
The Co-op, Tesco and M and S supermarkets are here and a fruit shop that people travel miles to visit, you can get anything you need locally on foot, also it’s never a problem to park your car in the village here. There is a good library which has events on, and a community center which shows films, music, and holds a popular flea market once a month.
All in all, it’s a lovely friendly village with everything you need to hand, trips to London and Oxford are easy with the trains and motorways, the Elizabeth line is a new joy to use.
I have loved the life here, it’s such a friendly home where i’ve lived for over 30 years, my son moving to Cornwall recently and inviting me to join them there has prompted the move, who ever buys this home will love living here!
Area View...The location is a major draw: Bourne End offers a great mix of independent shops, cafés, and larger retailers, all within easy reach. Excellent transport connections include quick access to the A404, M40, and M4, with Maidenhead station just a short drive away offering Elizabeth Line services into London. Heathrow is just 22 miles away. The property also benefits from ample driveway parking and a charming rear garden that backs onto the river—a peaceful retreat with bags of potential.
