If you lived here...
Set on a charming street lined with period homes, this handsome property features a striking bay window and ornate balcony ironwork, all framed by mature greenery.
Inside, a bright and welcoming hallway gives access to the main living areas, with rich wood flooring flowing seamlessly through from the reception. A tall glass block feature allows borrowed light to filter in, while integrated storage is tucked neatly to one side. The reception room stretches across the full width of the property and enjoys excellent sunlight thanks to its impressive bay window and glazed door opening onto a Juliet-style balcony. There's ample space for both relaxation and dining, and the architectural glazing adds a thoughtful design detail.
The kitchen is separate and efficiently arranged, with warm timber cabinetry, plenty of worktop space, and a window above the sink providing both daylight and a pleasant outlook. The adjacent bathroom includes a full-size bath, with a window above and a mirrored cabinet for added storage. Also on this level, a peaceful double bedroom sits to the rear, carpeted and finished in soft neutral tones, with a wide window offering leafy views.
Upstairs, the loft bedroom spans the entire top floor, creating a bright and airy retreat. A combination of skylight and window ensures great natural light, while eaves storage and wall-to-wall wardrobes provide practical solutions. The adjoining en suite is neatly finished, with a glazed shower, vanity unit, and overhead skylight.
The surrounding area offers a delightful balance of green space and vibrant local life, ideal for both relaxation and convenience. Just a short stroll away, Wanstead High Street brims with independent shops and welcoming eateries—favourites include the relaxed charm of Bobo & Wild, perfect for brunch and coffee, and the ever-popular Luppolo, known for its excellent wood-fired pizzas and friendly atmosphere. The Cuckfield, a characterful pub with a leafy beer garden, is perfect for laid-back drinks, casual meetups or hearty Sunday roasts. For time outdoors, Wanstead Park offers peaceful walks among ornamental lakes, winding paths and historic avenues, while the wide open expanse of Wanstead Flats is close by for morning jogs, dog walks or picnics under the trees. It’s a well-connected neighbourhood with a strong village feel and a welcoming community vibe.

A word from the expert...
"Being a country girl at heart, for me Wanstead is the perfect blend of village/city living. With excellent transport links into the city, I often meet up with friends to explore the wonders of London. But I also enjoy going for long, leafy walks with Hollow Ponds and Wanstead Park on my doorstep. I was first attracted to Wanstead by its charming High Street, lush green spaces and choice of excellent schools. Since moving here, I have discovered some new favourites — for breakfast La Bakerie, lunch at Otto and The Duke for thebest roast around. I love to stay active, and here in Wanstead you have lots to choose from. From organised yoga at Christ Church Green, personal training sessions at Target Fit or jogging around the various nature trails of Epping Forest. There is a great sense of community here in Wanstead, with informative Facebook groups, street parties, a monthly farmers’ market and the local jumble trail. I have made many friends locally, there is a genuine community spirit here and I am proud to call Wanstead my home."
