Spacious And Well-Maintained First Floor Maisonette For Sale In Sought-After Bushwood

A spacious and well-maintained three bedroom maisonette for sale in the popular Bushwood area, offering fabulous local amenities and transport links. With generous accommodation and wonderful views across beautiful open spaces, this property is a real gem.

Located to the side of the property, the main door leads to a small ground floor hallway and up to a spacious central large landing, providing individual access to each room. Decoration is modern with light grey walls and light oak timber laminate flooring. There's also a useful built-in storage cupboard.

The bathroom has a modern three-piece suite comprising WC, pedestal basin and large bathtub with shower and glazed screen. The modern fixtures are complemented by contemporary grey tiling and fresh white walls.

The large kitchen has an array of light olive shaker-style cabinets, including a double depth peninsular with a butcher’s block style worktop, plus space for bar stools, a small dining table or additional free-standing storage. There's a large window and a glazed door leading to a fire escape, and striking turquoise tiled backsplashes and more high-quality flooring completes this well designed and executed space.

The spacious L-shaped reception room offers scope for separate dining and living areas with plenty of room for comfortable seating, bookcases and other furniture. Modern grey walls and light carpet provide a contrast to the original tiled fireplace.

All three bedrooms are spacious and have large windows with fabulous views over the open green spaces and woodland leading to The Basin and Wanstead Golf and Cricket Clubs. Bedroom one is an extremely large double room with large fitted wardrobe and ample space for your chosen furniture. Bedroom two is another double and bedroom three has access to the balcony which spans the width of bedrooms two and three and provides the opportunity to enjoy morning and daytime sunshine.

The ever-popular Bushwood area of Leytonstone has a quiet community feel yet is blessed with excellent amenities on the doorstep. All the services offered on Leytonstone High Road and surrounding areas - including bars, restaurants, shops and supermarkets - are nearby. The area is well served by public transport, with Leytonstone High Road overground station a fifteen-minute walk away and Leytonstone Central Line underground station around ten minutes. There are good schools nearby, including Davies Lane Primary School. If you’re keen on outdoor activities, access to the forest is just across the road, and the wonderful Wanstead Flats are just two minutes’ walk away at the end of the road, as well as Hollow Ponds and Wanstead Park, which are within easy reach.

Sellers comments

We have greatly enjoyed living in Bushwood for the past 11 years. The flat offers excellent transport links for commuting to the City and West End in one direction and for lovely walks in the extensive Epping Forest in the other.

There are numerous local bars and restaurants nearby, some of our favourites including the Red Lion Pub, the Back To Ours coffee shop at the Good Shepherd arts centre and of course the North Star pub serving Thai cuisine and freshly made pizzas located in Browning Road, just a 2 minute walk away from our front door!

The flat is also very well served for shops, including the Tesco superstore (an easy 7 minute walk away), delicious fresh bread and pastries at the Wild Goose Bakery, the Five Star wet fish shop and the arrival of M&S!

The Westfield Shopping centre and Olympic park at Stratford are just 25 minutes from the flat. We have particularly enjoyed using the olympic swimming pool and gym at the London Aquatics Centre and also spending time at the recently opened Sadler's Wells East and the V&A East Storehouse.
