Description
Grange Farm, North Yorkshire Moors
Set amidst the breathtaking scenery of the North Yorkshire Moors, Grange Farm is an exceptional detached stone residence, discreetly positioned within a private and elevated setting, enjoying expansive views across open countryside. Occupying a generous plot of approximately four acres, the property includes two barns and offers a rare blend of character, tranquility and versatility.
Originally constructed in the 1980s on the site of the former farmhouse, Grange Farm has been thoughtfully and comprehensively renovated by the current owner to an impeccable standard. The result is a beautifully appointed country home that seamlessly combines timeless materials with modern design, perfect for both family life and entertaining.
The ground floor is introduced via a spacious and welcoming hallway, offering excellent storage and flowing naturally into the heart of the home - a superbly designed kitchen featuring classic shaker-style cabinetry in a neutral palette, a central island and a full complement of integrated appliances. A well-equipped utility room adjoins.
The impressive sitting/dining room is orientated to capture the best of the south and east-facing aspects, with sliding doors opening onto an expansive stone terrace - an idyllic setting for al fresco dining and enjoying the panoramic views. A separate family room with a log-burning stove offers a more intimate space for relaxation, while a generous dual-aspect ground floor bedroom with en suite shower room provides excellent flexibility, ideal for guests or multi-generational living. A study and cloakroom/WC complete the ground floor accommodation.
The first floor can be accessed via two separate staircases, creating a natural division between the principal and secondary bedrooms. The magnificent principal suite is a standout feature of the home, boasting a sumptuous raised freestanding bath, a separate en suite shower room, and a beautifully appointed walk-in dressing room with extensive bespoke storage.
There are four further bedrooms on the first floor, including an en suite bedroom to the west of the house. A stylish family bathroom and two large landings - offering additional storage and potential for further use - complete the upstairs accommodation.
The grounds are an extension of the home’s appeal, with mature gardens that blend seamlessly into the surrounding landscape, interspersed with thoughtfully designed seating areas, established planting, and high-quality hard landscaping. At the rear of the property lie two barns: One large agricultural barn ideal for garaging, workshop or conversion (subject to the necessary consents), and a charming stone former piggery believed to date back over 300 years. Ample parking is provided via a graveled driveway.
Grange Farm offers exceptional flexibility for a range of lifestyle requirements. Currently run as a highly successful Bed and Breakfast, it would equally suit those seeking a principal residence, a second home, or a multi-generational set-up with potential to create an independent annexe (subject to any necessary permissions).
This is a truly outstanding rural property - private, peaceful and perfectly appointed - offering a rare opportunity to enjoy life in one of North Yorkshire’s most scenic locations.
