Wave N Sea Is A Charming 3-Bedroom Detached Shore Front Cottage
Wave n Sea is a charming 3-bedroom detached shore front cottage offering breath-taking views over Loch Striven to the Isle of Bute and Isle of Arran. The property was built just over 2 years ago and is beautifully presented.
Set in a picturesque countryside location, this generously proportioned property boasts bright and well-designed accommodation that maximizes the stunning vistas. As you enter, you are greeted by an inviting entrance vestibule that leads into the open-plan lounge, kitchen, and dining area. The modern kitchen, finished in stylish grey, features fitted units, integrated electric ovens, and a kitchen island with a sink, electric hob, and space for bar stools. An integrated dishwasher and a designated area for a fridge/freezer complete this culinary haven.
The adjoining utility room offers additional storage, a stainless-steel sink unit, and access to the back garden.
The open plan lounge area flows seamlessly into the dining area and kitchen then into the rear hallway, where you’ll find a contemporary bathroom and an under-stair cupboard.
Bedroom 2, located at the rear, includes a built-in wardrobe and serene views over the back garden and fields.
Upstairs, two spacious double bedrooms each boast en-suite bathrooms and glorious views over Loch Striven and the surrounding farmland.
Outside, the cottage features natural stone slabs forming a delightful patio area at the front, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the
sunset. A tarmac driveway provides ample parking space, while the front and rear gardens have been laid to lawn. The rear garden also houses the lpg gas tank. The plot size is just over a 1/3 of an acre.
The location is truly exceptional, with panoramic views of the countryside and hills to the rear and Loch Striven and the Kyles of Bute to the front. The area is teeming with activity, from dolphins, porpoise and seals and the occasional sea otter, sailing boats to occasional navy ships. The cottage is conveniently located approximately 9 miles from Dunoon and 5 miles from Innellan on the A815.
Dunoon, a traditional resort town on the Cowal Peninsula, is accessible by both land and sea. The journey to Dunoon can include a scenic ferry crossing over the Firth of Clyde or a drive through dramatic mountain and loch landscapes passing Loch Lomond and The Rest & Be Thankful. The area hosts a variety of events, from food and music festivals to sailing regattas and the renowned Highland Gathering and Cowal Open Studios showcasing approximately 50 local artists. Dunoon offers a vibrant mix of bars, coffee shops, restaurants, and independent shops. Notable attractions include Benmore Botanic Garden and Holy Loch. With excellent walking, sailing, and stunning scenery, and Glasgow just an hour and a half's drive away, this area has something for everyone.
Directions: From Glasgow Airport, take the M8 west to the A8, head for Greenock and Gourock, and follow signs for Western Ferries at McInroy's Point. The ferry, which runs every half hour, will bring you to Hunters Quay, Dunoon. From the terminal, turn left and continue through Dunoon, Innellan, and Toward on the A815. After Toward Sailing Club, the road leaves the coast, takes a sharp left at Knockdow House, and continues uphill. At the crest, Loch Striven comes into view. Turn right at the bottom of the hill, and the cottage is 100 yards on the right.
