Why buy this home?
Step inside and you’re welcomed by a spacious entrance hall. To the right is the living room, featuring a bay window that floods the space with natural light. Its generous size allows for flexible furniture arrangements. On the left, the former garage has been converted into a versatile room with patio doors to the front. Currently used as a snug/playroom, it could easily serve as a home office or converted back to a garage, depending on your needs.
To the rear of the property is the heart of the home, the open-plan kitchen diner. Previously two separate rooms, the current owners have transformed this into a light-filled, sociable family space. The kitchen features wooden cabinetry, Quartz worktops, and a tiled splashback. Integrated appliances include a dishwasher, fridge freezer, washing machine, and microwave. There’s also space for a Rangemaster, wine cooler, washing machine, and tumble dryer. A breakfast bar adds a casual dining spot, perfect for your morning coffee or quick meals with the kids.
The dining area comfortably seats six, with room to extend for larger gatherings. From here, double doors lead to the conservatory, a bright and airy space that can be enjoyed all year round. The conservatory opens onto a resin patio, ideal for garden furniture and entertaining. The current owners have a hot tub here, giving a great sense of the generous space on offer. Steps lead to a lawned area framed by mature shrubs and trees. Best of all, the garden is not overlooked, offering a private and peaceful outdoor retreat.
Originally a four-bedroom property, the addition of a loft conversion has created a stunning master suite spanning the entire top floor. This spacious retreat includes a dressing area with fitted wardrobes and a luxurious en-suite with a whirlpool bath and separate shower, vanity unit, and partially tiled. This room is perfect for parents seeking privacy.
On the first floor are four further well-proportioned double bedrooms. Bedroom two, the original master, is located at the front and features built-in wardrobes and an en-suite with a shower. Bedroom three also has built-in storage, while bedrooms four and five are excellent doubles, ideal for growing families who want equally sized rooms. A modern family bathroom with a shower over the bath serves these rooms.
To the front, a resin driveway provides parking for two vehicles side by side.
More about the location...
Tattenhoe and Tattenhoe Park are adjacent districts of Milton Keynes in the ancient parish of Tattenhoe. It is located at the south-western edge of the city, not far from the ruins of Snelshall Priory. It contains Howe Park Wood, one of England's few remaining primeval woodlands, and home to a wide variety of wildlife.
The village was abandoned in the 16th century and had its own moated manor house and church (1540, perhaps 12th century). By the time redevelopment began, it consisted of just three farms and St. Giles's Church, but was recognised as a village rather than a hamlet.
The village also has the Tattenhoe Sports Pavilion, which is run by mkdons set in partnership with the Milton Keynes Council. They offer the temporary home of Westcroft Library, as well as a lounge area next to the cafe and bar on site. The pavilion also has legacy playing fields, an astro turf available for hire, a meeting room available for hire and free parking on site.
Tattenhoe Valley Park is a delightful place for a walk, cycle or horse ride, with plenty of wildlife to enjoy in the necklace of ponds splashing over rocks and providing a fantastic habitat for insect, bird and water life.
Primary education is provided by Howe Park School and Giles Brook School (which has an Outstanding Ofsted report) and Secondary Education is provided by Shenley Brook End School.
