Description
Alltanish occupies the top two floors of one of Crieff’s large stone villas; built in 1874. The villa has been split very comfortably so that Alltanish has a smart and private front entrance accessed via a pedestrian gate from Gwydyr Road. From the entrance hall, steps lead up to a wide hallway giving access to all the rooms on this level. At the far end of the hall, and with large south facing windows is the sitting room and the kitchen. The well equipped kitchen has an American style fridge freezer, double ovens, a wine fridge and induction hob. There is space for a dining table in front of two windows which frame fabulous views. The sitting room is also dual aspect and has a lovely big bay window as well as an electric fire. There are three double bedrooms on this floor along with a shower room and a recently refurbished bathroom. All of these rooms have pleasing proportions, deep skirtings, cornicework and panelled doors and window surrounds. The fourth bedroom is positioned on the lower level of the hall nearer the entrance. It has a lower ceiling and although this would make a fabulous bedroom, it is currently arranged as a cosier study / sitting room. There is also a useful cloakroom/boot room beside the front door. A spiral stair from the main hall leads to the attic floor. This has been cleverly converted into a suite of rooms consisting of a bedroom, dressing room, sitting room and bathroom. It is steeply coved but has a surprising amount of space, and great character.
Outside
Alltanish has a neat garden which has been beautifully landscaped and planted. Gently curving pathways lead under arched trellises to a choice of seating areas that capture the sun at different times of day.

Location
Alltanish is situated in a sought after and leafy residential area of Crieff. It is very private, being discreetly set back behind double painted timber gates set into an old stone wall. Whilst the property is away from the hustle and bustle of the town, it is only 500 metres from shops and cafés on the High Street. Crieff has become well known for its selection of independent shops, specialist food retailers, cafés and restaurants which include the Michelin-starred Glenturret Lalique restaurant. Amongst excellent amenities the town has a health centre and a cottage hospital as well as supermarkets and various professional services. There are local golf courses at Crieff, Muthill, Comrie and St Fillans. The Crieff Hydro is extremely popular with visitors and locals alike; it has a leisure centre, restaurants and offers various activities. Gleneagles Hotel and Country Club is about 10 miles away. The hills of the Sma’ Glen and Ben Vorlich make a picturesque backdrop to the town and there is extensive hill walking, climbing, fishing and water sports to be enjoyed in the surrounding countryside. Lady Mary’s Walk, Currochs Circuit Walk, McCrosty Park and paths around the Knock are all accessible directly from Alltanish. In addition to primary and secondary schooling at Crieff’s community campus, there are two independent schools in the town: Morrisons Academy and Ardvreck School and further independent schooling at Glenalmond College (about 11 miles), Craigclowan and Strathallan (both within 22 miles).
Perth (18 miles), Dundee (41 miles), Glasgow (47 miles) and Edinburgh (60 miles) are all within commuting distance.
All distances are approximate.
