Stepping in through the front door and into the entrance way, providing access to all rooms. On your right is the living room with a large bay window, flooding the room with natural light and centred around a gas fireplace. To the left is the largest bedroom with a further large window overlooking the front garden. The second bedroom is at the rear and benefits from built in wardrobes, next door is the family bathroom fitted with a modern white suite. On the other side of the hallway is the kitchen/breakfast room, a great size, fitted with a range of wall and base units as well as a pantry cupboard. From here you have access into the conservatory overlooking the south facing garden.
Externally the garden is a wonderful size and well cared for, with a patio area closest to the house and a large lawned area surrounded by mature shrubs and trees. There is also space for a shed and access into the single garage. At the front is driveway parking for one car and a good sized front garden.
The historic market town of Faringdon, dating back at least to the 12th century, has a thriving community and amenities such as the Leisure Centre, Library, Faringdon Community College, Junior and Infant schools as well as The Old Station Nursery, doctors’ and dentists’ surgeries and a Family Centre. Buses travel from the town to private schools at Abingdon. The town now boasts three large supermarkets.
Faringdon is also ideally positioned for the A420, leading to the A34, M40 and M4 and mainline railway services from Swindon, Oxford, Oxford Parkway and Didcot Parkway. There is a frequent bus service through the town from Swindon to Oxford and back, linking to rail services and airports.
The Tower on Folly Hill was built by Lord Berners in 1935 and affords panoramic views across four counties. For over 20 years, the town has been twinned with Le Mêle-sur-Sarthe in France and in 2004, Faringdon became the first Fairtrade town in the South East of England.
