Description

**guide price £375,00O - £400,000 Jukes Estate Agents are delighted to bring to market this absolutely gorgeous extended 3/4 bedroom terraced property with amazing summer house etc. In Fullers Mead which is in the ever popular Potter Street area of Harlow. For sale by way of a conditional sale.*
One of my duties here at Jukes is to write descriptions of most of our properties and it is a task that I enjoy a lot! I enjoy it even more when we get instructed to sell a property like this absolute beauty! Credit where credit is due, the current owners have done an absolutely fabulous job here and have turned what would have been a good size 3 bedroom terraced property with a large rear garden into something really special.
I defy anyone viewing this property not to like it. I believe most will love it!
Look at the images, look at the floor plan, read lower down this description where we show you how close it is to all the important amenities and also what it is like living in Harlow and pick up that phone and book yourself a viewing. You will not be disappointed!
Upon entering you find yourself in a lovely hallway with exquisite flooring a large storage cupboard on the left and a large room that is currently used as a home office on the right. One of the great things about this property is the fact that new owners can configure it to suit them. The current owners need and use it as a home office and it is definitely large enough for 2/3 desks. However, it could be a reading room, a gym, an extra bedroom etc. Etc.
The hub of this stunning property is the open plan lounge / diner / kitchen.
I have said it before and no doubt I will say it again: Open plan living is so on point! I am at a loss as to why it went out of fashion? It works so well and the way that the owners have laid this family hub out works splendidly.
Again it has the same gorgeous flooring as the hallway (with under floor heating) and just look at the images! The kitchen area is a high grade fully fitted beauty, with all the usual white goods. It has amazing work surfaces which is repeated on the large 'breakfast bar'. A clever piece of planning means the fridge freezer fits snuggly in a hidden alcove. There is a large induction hob with hidden extractor hood.
The lounge area is spacious and yet cosy and has a lovely log burner. This works well as well!
The dining area currently houses a large 6 seater dining table and chairs. There is a large lantern which allows oodles of natural light and when the light fades, there is excellent downlighting.
All in all this incredible family hub oozes class and of course, you will not be surprised that there are wonderful bi fold doors that open the hub up to the impressive large family garden.
Gardens are often left until last by estate agents when writing descriptions. However, this beauty needs more of a star billing!
There is a large patio area that is perfect for al fresco dining / BBQ's. There are two outbuildings that are perfect for storage of garden furniture, lawn mowers etc.
The owner has built a fantastic tree house and oh how that brings back happy memories for me as a child! I was lucky enough to have a tree house and I spent hours in it.
I think additions like this are so under rated. In this day an age where its online overload for children, the ability to get in a tree house and actually use your imagination is a thing that in 2025 has all but been lost!
The hidden jewel though, is not the tree house, it is the fabulous summer house with bathroom that includes a large walk in shower, WC & wash basin..
Built to an extremely high standard with high grade wood effect flooring, this beautiful Summer House has glorious mock Georgian windows and door. Oh I could spend hours here! It is a fantastic addition to the property and could double as a guest room or a large home office, a gym or just about anything you wanted it to be.
The garden also has established flower beds with trees shrubs and flowers a plenty. It is laid mainly to lawn and there is a path that leads from the house to the Summer House.
As with many Harlow properties, there is a second entrance at the front of the property that allows transportation of waste bins etc. From the garden to the front without having to go through the house! It's another big plus!
The front garden is beautifully blocked paved and whilst not a drive, you can park your car there if you wish.
There is also a gorgeous downstairs cloakroom which also houses a fully plumbed in washing machine and therefore double as a utility room.
There is also more storage in the hallway with two large cupboards.
Upstairs we have 3 bedrooms 2 are large doubles, and the third is a good size single with fitted wardrobes. All bedrooms either have high grade wood effect flooring or fitted carpets and all bedrooms have bespoke blinds. They all benefit from large windows. As with the rest of the house, all the bedrooms are decorated to a high standard.
The family bathroom is a cracker. Decorated to an extremely high standard, it consists of a bathtub with overhead shower, WC & wash basin with integrated furniture, a heated towel rail and lots of storage (which is unusual). It has beautifully tiled walls and floor and again, like the rest of the property, it is a thing of beauty.
So, I have waxed lyrical about this property, and rightly so because it is gorgeous! The lucky new owners are going to have to do nothing to it whatsoever. It is in tip top condition and the current owners deserve a massive amount of credit for having the vision to transform what was a very nice house into an absolute beauty.
However, this is not always enough when choosing where to move to. So let's look at its proximity to important local amenities:
Primary School (Ofsted rated good) 0.21 miles.
Secondary School (Ofsted rated good) 0.47 miles.
Nearest bus stop 0.1 miles.
Harlow Mill railway station 1.9 miles.
Harlow Town railway station 2.1 miles
(Both stations have direct routes to London Liverpool Street, Stansted Airport and Cambridge).
M11 1.3 miles.
Gp surgery 0.7 miles.
Harlow Town Centre 2.2 miles.
Princess Alexandra Hospital 2.4 miles.
Local shops 0.4 miles.
So you can see from the list above that this property is ideally located for all Harlow major amenities.
But there is more..
The property will tick a lot, if not all the boxes.
Its location could hardly be better.
But what is living in Harlow like? Let's find out:
Living in Potter Street, Harlow: A Family-Friendly Community in the Heart of Essex

Nestled on the southern edge of Harlow, Potter Street offers a unique blend of village charm and modern suburban convenience. As one of the oldest parts of Harlow, the area retains a strong sense of identity, while benefiting from the wider amenities and infrastructure of the town. For families looking for a place that strikes a balance between community warmth, green space, and accessibility, Potter Street and Harlow as a whole present a compelling option.

Community and Lifestyle
Potter Street has long been known for its tight-knit, friendly community. Rows of traditional housing, a scattering of newer developments, and generous green verges give the area a relaxed, residential feel. Families appreciate the quieter pace here compared to Harlow town centre, while still being within easy reach of all essential services.

Community events are a key part of life in Potter Street, from school fêtes to seasonal fairs and local charity initiatives. Residents often speak of the "village within a town" atmosphere, where neighbours know one another and children play safely in nearby parks.

Schools and Education
Education is a priority for many families, and Potter Street is well served in this regard. Potter Street Academy is the local primary school, with a reputation for being friendly and inclusive. For secondary education, nearby schools such as Passmores Academy and Stewards Academy are within easy reach, offering a range of academic and extracurricular opportunities.

Further afield, Harlow College provides vocational and a-level courses for older students, and even offers connections to Anglia Ruskin University through its University Centre Harlow campus.

Parks and Outdoor Activities
One of Harlow's greatest strengths is its wealth of green space, and Potter Street is no exception. The area backs onto Harlow Common, a wide expanse of natural land perfect for dog walking, family picnics, or quiet strolls. Just a short drive away is the stunning Parndon Wood Nature Reserve, where children can learn about local wildlife through regular family-oriented workshops and trails.

The larger Harlow Town Park - one of the biggest urban parks in the UK - is also nearby. With adventure playgrounds, paddling pools, a petting zoo (Pets' Corner), and regular open-air events, it is a firm favourite with families throughout the year.

Leisure and Entertainment
Harlow boasts a wide variety of entertainment options suitable for all ages. The Harlow Playhouse in the town centre offers a full calendar of family shows, pantomimes, comedy nights, and community theatre. The Cineworld multiplex at The Harvey Centre provides easy access to the latest films.

For more active pursuits, families can enjoy the Harlow Leisurezone, which includes a swimming pool, gym, soft play area, and sports courts. It's a popular destination for children's swimming lessons, birthday parties, and general weekend recreation.

Shopping and Dining
Everyday conveniences are easily met in Potter Street, with local shops, takeaways, and services dotted along the main road. For broader retail options, The Harvey Centre and Water Gardens shopping area in central Harlow offer a good selection of high street shops, supermarkets, and casual dining.

There are also several family-friendly pubs and cafés within and around Potter Street, including those with outdoor seating and children's menus, making weekend outings convenient and enjoyable.

Transport and Connectivity
Potter Street is well-connected via major road links, including the A414 and M11, making it an ideal base for those commuting to London, Cambridge, or Stansted Airport. Harlow Town and Harlow Mill railway stations provide regular services to London Liverpool Street, often used by parents who work in the capital while preferring a quieter home life for their children.

Healthcare and Other Services
The area is served by local gp surgeries and dental clinics, and the nearby Princess Alexandra Hospital offers more comprehensive healthcare services. Pharmacies, opticians, and other day-to-day health needs are readily available throughout Harlow.

Final Thoughts
Living in Potter Street offers the best of both worlds: The peace and neighbourly feel of a small community, with all the advantages of a developed and diverse town like Harlow. It's a place where children can grow up with access to open spaces and good schools, while parents enjoy convenience, connectivity, and a supportive local network. For families in search of a grounded yet well-connected lifestyle, Potter Street in Harlow is certainly worth considering.
