Upper Walthamstow Location
Easy Access to Epping Forest
Short walking distance to Wood Street Station
Tucked into a quietly coveted corner of Upper Walthamstow, this beautifully finished two-bedroom apartment offers 670 sq ft of thoughtful space and a rare-to-find south-facing private garden. The interiors strike a balance between smart design and comfort, while the layout gives a real sense of flow. You’re just seven minutes on foot from Wood Street Station, making city access refreshingly easy—whether you're heading to Walthamstow Central or straight into Liverpool Street. But there’s plenty to keep you local too: Wood Street’s independent cafés, bakeries, and vintage spots give the area its distinct charm, while Epping Forest is close enough for spontaneous woodland walks.
This is one of those places that quietly delivers on every front—space, style, and a setting that’s hard to beat.
If you lived here...
A softly carpeted entrance staircase leads you to the first floor, where the home begins to reveal itself.
At the front, the reception room is bathed in natural light from three generous windows. A simple fireplace, framed by a crisp white mantle, offers a cosy focal point, while broad wooden floorboards add warmth and character underfoot.
Adjacent is the second bedroom—versatile enough to serve as a home office, nursery or guest space—complete with warm timber flooring and a window overlooking the leafy street below.
Back in the hallway, a deep storage cupboard is neatly tucked away—ideal for keeping everyday clutter or seasonal bits out of sight.
The bathroom pairs functionality with calm aesthetics: Cream-toned tiling, a clean white suite, and a glazed bath/shower combo that feels fresh without being clinical.
In the kitchen, a u-shaped layout maximises space and flow. High-gloss white cabinets are offset by rich wood worktops and a striking teal tiled splashback. Chevron-patterned flooring ties the space together with a designer’s touch.
The main bedroom offers a peaceful retreat, painted in a soft sage green. Twin fitted wardrobes—one with mirrored doors—amplify light from large windows, while plush carpeting makes early mornings that bit gentler.
Step outside and you’ll find a 42-foot private garden that’s been thoughtfully landscaped. A winding path of gravel and paving stones guides you through lawned pockets to a raised decking area, perfect for open-air meals or a quiet morning coffee. Surrounded by established greenery on all sides and framed by natural wood fencing, it’s a true hidden gem.
What else?
Wood Street Station (Weaver Line) offers direct overground services to Liverpool Street in around 30 minutes. It’s also one stop from Walthamstow Central, where you can switch to the Victoria Line for access across London. Alternatively, the 212 bus from the end of the road gets you to Walthamstow Central in under 10 minutes.
The charming Wood Street Indoor Market is full of quirky independent shops, vintage treasures, and artisan cafes and the area boasts an array of trendy pubs, restaurants, and coffee spots, such as the ever-popular The Duke and Marilyn's Cafe.
Culture enthusiasts can explore the local art scene and enjoy live performances at the nearby William Morris Gallery set in Lloyd Park with its array of civic amenities, including a skate park, tennis courts and play area.

A word from the owners....
"We’ve absolutely loved living here over the past 7 years. The garden is so peaceful and having the cricket club opposite is very relaxing. It’s also so great having all of the forest walk options so close by.
There is a homely community feel to the area and the location is brilliant. It’s just over a 10 minute walk to God’s Own Junkyard and all the Ravenswood Estate breweries, and from there you can cut through to the village in no time. We also regularly stroll past the forest up to Wanstead which gives you access to another lovely high street and the Central Line too. We hope whoever moves in will be as happy as we have been here!"
