The Drury is a handsome country property in need of updating, having spacious accommodation laid out over three floors. Primary ground floor rooms are found to the front of the property, including a dining room and drawing room, both of which have working fireplaces, one with a Clearview Stove, and delightful outlooks. To the rear of the house is the kitchen breakfast room and adjacent sitting room which looks over the courtyard of barns. A utility/boot room and w/c complete the ground floor accommodation.
Stairs rise to the first floor where two primary bedrooms are found to the front of the house, both with open countryside views. Three further bedrooms are found on this floor, served by a large family bathroom. Stairs rise again to the second floor, which comprises of two large, vaulted loft rooms which could serve as additional bedroom space or a variety of other uses, depending on an owners requirements.
Garden and Grounds
The Drury, and its wonderful range of outbuildings, stands centrally, flanked by paddocks offering excellent privacy and protection. The land is arranged into two primary fields to the side and rear of the house and buildings. Within the land are two large pools, surrounded by wooded areas.
To the side of the house, and with a separate road access, is a range of traditional barns and buildings. These include a range of brick barns (The Old Dairy), dutch barns and portal frame buildings. These have scope for alternative uses, for example a change of use to equestrian, subject to consents being obtained, and residential conversion, if the local authority reviews its position on private drainage systems – the reason given for a recent refusal. Plans for this refused proposed scheme can be provided, by request.
Near to the house is a garage building with the capacity for three vehicles, and a cobbled courtyard.
