About this property
Private garden
Total gem of a fifties semi! The cute house hosts three bedrooms: Two doubles and a single. Double-glazing, a boarded and insulated loft, and a mature garden complete the pretty package.
On a quiet street, set between two town centres, you are just a 10 minute walk from both Brockley and New Cross stations (both are Fare Zone 2; with regular and Windrush line services).
You are also wonderfully-close to Goldsmiths University (we love the contemporary art gallery here), and Deptford and Greenwich are an easy walk for pubs, markets and more.
From the handy porch space, open your front door into the hall (which has a large storage/plumbed utility cupboard at its foot). Your reception space rests to your right. This extends over 22 feet. There is loads of space to zone seating and dining areas.
Access the kitchen from this main room (via a cool reeded-glass door). This has underfloor heating, plus timeless white units paired with cool yellow counters.
Up to the first floor and you’ll find your bedrooms. The doubles - to front and back - are over 12 feet by over 10 feet, and over 10 feet by over 10 feet. Your third bedroom is a single to the front of the house (6 feet by over 7 feet). This is currently in use as a bright home office.
A modern windowed bathroom with metro-tiles and an over-bath shower completes the offering.
We’ve mentioned your closest stations. You can also walk to Nunhead, nxg and Deptford Bridge stations, in 15 minutes. You are so well-connected. Buses are brilliant in this neck of the woods, too.
Of the weekend, take a stroll down to gorgeous Greenwich with its Royal Park, river proximity and rich architecture. Or staying closer, Hilly Fields and Telegraph Hill's Victorian parks are top tips, with skyline vistas.
Local Farmers' Markets are Brockley Market (held in Lewisham College's walled car park - fancier than it sounds!) and one at the lower park in Telegraph Hill. Both are on Saturdays.
Brockley has some top spots for coffee, brunch, lunch, dinner and cocktails. We like Mauby, Ellary’s, Brickfields, and Browns of Brockley in particular.
New Cross has a growing number of great places to eat and drink, too - The Amersham Arms, The Rosemary and The Rose are recommended.
Deptford’s close for markets and a thriving evening scene - in Deptford Market Yard and on the high street (by Deptford Station). Here we like salt and Marcella in particular. Nunhead and Peckham are also close for further options.
