We’ve called Herbert Cottage home for nearly 20 years, and it’s been a truly special place to live. Over the years, we’ve worked hard to reinstate its original cottage character, and we hope we’ve created a home that feels genuinely welcoming and peaceful. The garden has always been one of our favourite spots. We've lovingly transformed it from a football pitch with no plants into a private, relaxing retreat. It’s the perfect place to start the day with a coffee on the patio, or wind down with a glass of wine as the sun sets outside the cabin. Since we added the cabin in 2018, we’ve been able to enjoy the garden year-round - we often head down there in winter for movie nights and firepit
evenings.
Inside, the soaking tub in the bathroom has been our go-to spot to relax and switch off, while the kitchen has truly been the heart of the home. It’s seen countless Sunday roasts and fun evenings of cooking, it's a lovely space whether you’re entertaining guests or just pottering about.
One of the things we’ve really appreciated about living here is how easy it is to get outdoors. Whether it’s a bike ride or a walk with the dog, we can be out in the woods within minutes - no need to get into the car, or plan ahead. It’s all right on the doorstep, which has made staying active an easy part of daily life. It’s something we’ll truly miss. Herbert Cottage has been such a warm, easy place to live, and we’ll take many happy memories with us. As we head off to the coast for a new adventure, we’re excited to pass Herbert Cottage on for its next chapter - and we hope you’ll love it here as much as we have.
Will & Mike's Comment...
Tucked away just a short stroll from the heart of Crowthorne village and backing directly onto the tranquil Crowthorne Woods and the Devil’s Highway, this beautifully presented three-bedroom semi-detached home offers something truly special.
From the moment you step inside, there’s a real sense of warmth and character — high ceilings, period detailing, and tasteful décor throughout create an inviting and elegant atmosphere that feels like home.
Outside, the front is smartly finished with block paving and handy gated side access. But it’s the rear garden that really steals the show. Stretching to around 200ft, it’s a private sanctuary backing onto Crown Estate woodland — perfect for long walks, weekend cycles, or just soaking up the peace and quiet. There’s a spacious patio for entertaining, a neat lawn for the kids to run around on, and colourful, well-stocked borders for year-round interest. At the far end, a large home office offers brilliant flexibility for remote working or creative projects, alongside two garden sheds for added storage.
This is a home that combines lifestyle, location, and character in equal measure — and we can’t wait to show you around.
