Location:
Originally built in 1895 by Edmond Park, the Park Hotel is a prominent and architecturally impressive building located between Regent Park public open space and the promenade and sea front of West End Morecambe. The town centres of Morecambe and Lancaster are easily accessible by public transport and the property is within close proximity to the beach front. The town is on the verge of regeneration, as design and preparation work on the Eden Project Morecambe is underway and due to complete in 2028. The site for this unique and ambitious £100million project is close by and is widely anticipated to reimagine this seaside resort for the twenty-first century.
Description:
The Park Hotel is one of Morecambe’s most well-known heritage buildings (non-listed), with a gia of approximately 17,491 square feet (1,625m2) over five floors. Planning permission has been granted for conversion to create 14 residential apartments with communal gymnasium and garden areas. Also included in the approved scheme on the car park to the rear, is the build of 3 x new 3 bedroom houses and 3 x new 4 bedrooms houses, previously used as the bowling green for the hotel. The approved hotel conversion comprises 8 x 2-bedroom apartments, 2 x 2-bedroom maisonettes, 2 x 3-bedroom apartments, 1 x 3-bedroom maisonette, 1 x 4-bedroom maisonette and communal gym, cycle storage and gardens.
