Charming Countryside Cottage with Stunning Views
Welcome to Chapel House, Horkstow, a delightful cottage set in one of Lincolnshire's most picturesque locations. Located at the bottom of a quiet country lane, this charming home started life as a village Methodist Chapel, over 150 years ago.
Having been converted into a welcoming home in the 1970s, Chapel House offers breathtaking views of fields from every aspect and sits on a generous third-of-an-acre plot with mature, landscaped gardens. Perfectly situated between Barton-upon-Humber and Brigg, this Wolds village home provides a peaceful countryside feel while still being conveniently close to Hull, Scunthorpe, Doncaster, Lincoln and Grimsby.
Our Thoughts:
Chapel House is a truly special property that combines the charm of a historic cottage with the convenience of modern living. With three double bedrooms, a spacious lounge with a study area, a dining room, a large conservatory, and a well-equipped kitchen, this home offers plenty of space for family life. The driveway, double garage and outbuilding provide parking and ample storage, while the mature gardens are perfect for entertaining or simply enjoying the outdoors. This property is ideal for those seeking a countryside lifestyle with easy access to nearby towns and cities.
Owners Thoughts:
I will be sad to sell Chapel House, but not sorry. Our home has given us 20 years of love, laughter, peace, and security. It is a home that is at its best when children are racing around the garden on an Easter Egg hunt, kicking a football between homemade goal posts, screaming with laughter in water fights, inventing obstacle courses, and competing in table tennis tournaments. It comes alive when it is filled with people at summer barbecues or Sunday lunches, birthday parties, and fizzy al fresco dinners with friends. Then there are the cosy cold winter nights in front of the log burner, just watching telly, or listening to the sound of silence. Chapel House has given us a lifetime of happy memories but it is time to fill it with a family who will continue to bring love and laughter into this very special place.
