About this property

"We've loved living on Anstey Street and have so many happy memories of our time there. This was our first home together, it's where we had our first child. We loved decorating and making it our own, but it has always just had a really good feel about it. The light is amazing in the mornings as you have coffee in bed, and the front room is super cozy with the curtains drawn and the fire on in the evenings. It's on such a friendly street, with awesome neighbours who we will really miss, and it has all the brilliant Easton institutions - Sweet Mart, No 12, the Plough - round the corner. It's just a really nice place to live."

Anstey Street is a quiet terraced street offering a particularly tranquil spot within this vibrant residential area of the city. Easton is renowned for its distinctive character and community spirit, and boasts a host of local amenities, attractions and community events that draw many visitors from outside the area. The area is well connected to the city centre and beyond by bike, road and train. The M32 and the A431 to Bath are both easily accessible. The area is also home to a number of Bristol's finest independent shops and eateries, hugely popular with locals and visitors alike. Situated along St Marks Road are Bristol Sweet Mart, Thali Café, East Bristol Bakery, and The Garden of Easton. Also close by are No 12 Café, The Greenbank pub, Este Kitchen, Matter Wholefoods, and Public Market. This house is a nine-minute walk away from Whitehall Primary School which is consistently rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted, while May Park is a similarly well-regarded local option. Also close by are Easton Leisure Centre, Easton Cowboys and Cowgirls Sports Club and the Bristol Hawks Gymnastics Club, a city-wide family activity attraction. The area offers a surprising wealth of green spaces including the Greenbank Cemetery, the parks at Eastville and St George, and riverside walks along the nearby Frome Valley, and just minutes from the house is the locally cherished Bristol to Bath Cycle Path, ideal for commuting quickly into the city centre or just for weekend strolls, long runs or bike rides.

Sold with no onward chain, an attractive bay fronted Victorian home on Anstey Street in Easton, presented with minimalist style within a functional and traditional floorplan. The front door of the home makes a beautiful statement with it's custom made stained glass that captures the local community in it's unique design. The hallway with it's bold William Morris wallpaper leads to the open plan dining room and living room on your right, boasting the bay window and original fireplace and stripped back wooden floors. At the rear, is the kitchen and family bathroom, and side access to the courtyard garden. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms, the smallest being at the rear and the main bedroom at the front. There are stairs built to the loft in preparation for a loft conversion. There is potential to extend the home in to the loft to provide another bedroom and you could move the family bathroom up to the first floor small bedroom if desired.
