About this property
"We've loved living on Glena Avenue for over 30 years, it's been a wonderful area to raise our 3 children. We've particularly enjoyed living close to several beautiful parks, having picnics and watching the sunset at Perretts has been a favourite. There's plenty of lovely places to eat locally, our favourite is A cappella which is only a few minutes walk. Having a local swimming pool has been great, all our children learnt to swim there. We have so many fond memories of living in Knowle."
Glena Avenue is in a popular pocket of houses between Wells Road and Bath Road. One of the real benefits of this house is the amount and variety of parks and green spaces within a short distance. Redcatch Park and Community Garden, Perretts Park and Arnos Vale Cemetery, with its popular Atrium Café, all within 10 minutes walk from the house. The expansive Victoria Park and Callington Road Nature Reserve are also nearby, providing brilliant open spaces for the summer or for walking the dog all year round. Hillcrest Primary and Knowle Park Primary are both well regarded in the area and currently in catchment. The area is easily commutable from Bristol City Centre, approximately 30 minutes walk, a short cycle or bus journey down Wells Road. The area also has lots of amenities on the doorstep with Wells Road recently becoming home to more and more popular bars, cafes and restaurants. The Knowle Pub is within easy reach and provides the ideal locals pub for food and drink and is a great spot for a Sunday lunch or a beer in the garden.
A substantial family home which has been extended by its current owners in this tree lined street in Knowle. There is a reception room to the front of the property downstairs with a bay window overlooking a wonderful olive tree in the front garden. The rear has been opened up to create a family room that leads to the kitchen/diner with doors onto the rear garden. Up to the first floor there are three bedrooms and a family bathroom and the loft has been converted to create a master bedroom with fitted wardrobes and an ensuite shower room. The rear garden has a decked area for dining in the sunshine, a lawn and mature trees and shrubs.
