We first bought Chungates 15 years ago after a very long search. The property needed a lot of work when we bought it but I had a "thats where a Christmas Tree would look fantastic" moment so I knew it was the right one for us. The house hadn't been touched in decades and at one point had been turned into 2 flats so needed an injection of love but we could see the potential. We began by having it completely re-wired and re-plumbed throughout with several walls being taken out to give us our ideal layout. It has been a total labour of love and we have absolutely put our heart and soul into it.
We are a stone's throw from the river and great restaurants, but in a lovely quiet residential road.
Unfortunately due to health reasons, we have to move and are heartbroken to be leaving Chungates, but we hope that whoever becomes the new owners will be as happy as we have been.
