*** Vendors comments *** Welcome to our beautiful family home, where we’ve shared 35 happy years of love, laughter, and wonderful memories. When we first moved in—having previously lived in an apartment—what drew us immediately was the generous garden space. It was perfect for us and our toddler to enjoy and explore. We were fortunate to have friendly neighbours with young children on either side, and our little one often played in and out of each other’s gardens, forming lovely early friendships.
Step inside and you’ll be greeted by a bright, welcoming hallway that leads into two spacious reception rooms—a rare and preferred layout for us. The second reception room opens out onto the garden through charming French doors, making it perfect for indoor-outdoor living. We recently redecorated the downstairs in neutral tones, making it easy to refresh the look with just a few cushions or throws.
Upstairs, you’ll find three generous double bedrooms. Over the years, they’ve hosted many sleepovers with cousins and close friends who often joined us for family dinners and ended up staying the night. The bathroom has been recently refurbished and offers a lovely, spacious retreat.
One of the reasons we chose this location was its excellent access to good local schools, along with fantastic transport links into Central London—perfect for evenings at the theatre—and convenient road links to the south coast, where we enjoyed many sunny seaside days as a young family. Shopping is easy, with major supermarkets like Tesco, Sainsbury’s, and Lidl nearby, along with a great selection of smaller local shops, delis, and cafes.
After raising our family here and celebrating countless milestones—including our 40th wedding anniversary—it’s time for a new chapter. With our children grown and in homes of their own, and as we gently step into our senior years, we feel ready to pass on this home to someone new.
We’ve been blessed with caring and thoughtful neighbours—not just next door, but throughout Raymead Avenue. The strong sense of community is something truly special, and it’s one of the things we’ll miss the most.
This house has been a very happy home, and while it’s hard to say goodbye, we leave with full hearts and a lifetime of cherished memories."
