There is a traditional pub in the village within a two minute walk, whilst the neighbouring village of Bramley has some shops and a train station to Reading (for connection to the Elizabeth Line to Paddington and beyond)and Basingstoke, and the small nearby town of Tadley has a range of facilities catering for most day-to-day requirements, including two supermarkets. There is access to some excellent walks through Pamber Forest and across Silchester Common.
Basingstoke itself offers a comprehensive range of leisure, recreational and educational facilities. There is good access for commuting with the M3 being a short distance away, and the mainline railway station in Basingstoke provides fast and frequent services to London Waterloo.

It offers comfortable, four -bedroom accommodation with is offered in excellent order and which retains much of its character and has the benefit of planning permission for a two-storey side extension.
On the ground floor, the front door opens to the entrance hall which opens directly to the family room which has exposed ceiling beams and a log-burning stove set in a an attractive ‘inglenook-style’ brick fireplace. An opening leads to the central hall from which the stairs rise to the first floor, with cloakroom off. The dual aspect sitting room/dining room has another brick-built fireplace and French doors opening to the rear garden. The kitchen/breakfast room is comprehensively fitted and overlooks the rear garden and has a door opening to the rear terrace.
