What our seller thinks ;
What drew me to this flat firstly was how bright and airy it felt. The sunlight streams into the kitchen in the morning and onto the balcony in the afternoon and evening. It’s position on the top (fourth) floor gives it privacy, and it’s surrounded by trees with the Kirkwood Nature Reserve on one side and Cossall Park on the other. From the balcony and bedroom you can see The Shard as well as Canary Wharf, and i've enjoyed having friends over for dinner on the balcony at sunset.
It’s been a very safe place to live, being in a secure block with fob access. More security lights have recently been installed by the council. I had friendly neighbours who I will miss, in what feels like a tight-knit community.
The flat is in an extremely convenient location in Zone 2. It’s unique to live so close to a station (5 minutes to Queen’s Road Peckham for the Overground and Rail) and yet feel secluded and peaceful. Peckham itself is full of bars, clubs and restaurants, fitness and yoga studios, art galleries, flea markets. There’s always something to do locally even if I don’t feel like planning anything. I particularly enjoyed a new sauna that opened a 5 minute walk from the flat.
There are some beautiful green spaces nearby, my favourites being Telegraph Hill and Nunhead Cemetery. Just down the road in Nunhead, Skehans and The Ivy House have been on Timeout’s list of best pubs in London.
