It is located within the Cadoxton Conservation Area as designated in January 1976 by the Vale of Glamorgan Council in recognition of the special architectural and historic interest of the area; as such the Vale of Glamorgan Council has a statutory duty to ensure that the character of the area is preserved or enhanced. In 2019 the local residents formed The Cadoxton Conservation Group which successfully maintains the character & ambience of the 300-year-old Cadoxton Village area.
