Sellers' comments:

"We moved into this cosy house in November 2019 after falling in love with the character features of the property. The big fireplace in the front room, along with the wood beams really caught our attention. Since moving here, we have modernised each room to give it a fresh new look whilst keeping the old features that give this property its charm.

Our favourite area of the house is the decking area and outbuilding at the bottom of the long garden which have hosted many a BBQ and social gatherings. It’s a real sun-trap during the summer months and perfect for a quiet drink or bite to eat. Equally, the front sitting room with brickwork fireplace has been extra cosy for us in the winter months.

Our neighbours have been a pleasure to reside next to, often lending a helping hand when needed and offering friendly chat and over-the-fence baked goods!
We have loved the location in Chavey Down, with easy access to Swinley Forest for long walks, The Royal Foresters Pub for a drink and The Lexicon in Bracknell for shopping and eating out. Not to mention Royal Ascot and Martins Heron train station which provides direct transport for days out in London. We are relocating to start a family and be closer to our loved ones which is why we are sadly leaving this special home. We hope that the next owners of our house will love it as much as we have!"

Area comments:

We love Ascot! Set in the heart of Berkshire, Ascot blends village charm with a touch of luxury. Best known for its iconic racecourse, it’s also a sought-after spot for families and professionals thanks to its excellent schools, local shops, and open green spaces like Windsor Great Park and Swinley Forest. Commuters benefit from direct trains to London from the nearby stations (Ascot and Martin's Heron) and quick access to major motorways including the M3 and M4. Ascot also offers a welcoming community, with everything from cosy cafés and golf courses to weekend farmers markets and scenic walks—making it a place people truly love to call home.

Adam and Neil's (estate agents) comments:

This is such a cool house! We love the fact that this home oozes with character, with the exposed brickwork, original doors and gorgeous structural beams, yet the sellers have done such an excellent job with bringing the home into the 21st century with the tasteful decor and modern finishes. Built in 1881, this is far more than just your tradition two-bed terraced house. It comes with a really long and secluded rear garden with a patio area by the back door and both a log cabin and decked area at the top of the garden which is perfect for outdoor entertaining and BBQs. The log cabin has power and can be used as a home office and/or gym. Another bonus feature is the loft as it has been carpeted and a window installed giving you a bonus space to use as you wish. Both bedrooms are great sizes with the bedroom to the front of the home boasting a lovely feature fireplace. The bathroom is been excellently maintained by the sellers and the kitchen is to the rear overlooking the garden. This home is truly unique and we hope you feel it is as special as we do!
