In The Village Of Hughenden Valley. A Four Bedroom Detached Home With No Onward Chain.
This much-loved four-bedroom detached family home was built in 1976 and is situated in a popular small development in the heart of Hughenden Valley, bordering open countryside. While the property requires modernisation, it offers a fantastic opportunity to update and potentially extend (subject to planning consents), making it an ideal home for a growing family in a tranquil setting.
Sellers View..."Fleet Close has been in our family for over 30 wonderful years. It's been the heart of countless memories – from laughter echoing through the rooms during family celebrations, to the magic of Christmas mornings spent together around the tree. Every corner holds a story. We've celebrated birthdays, milestones, and quiet Sunday afternoons here. The house has always had a warm, welcoming feel – a place where everyone felt at home. Our parents created something special, and they were lucky to live here surrounded by love, laughter, and good neighbours who became friends and cared for them when they became elderly.
Set in beautiful countryside, the location gave us all the best of both worlds – peace and nature right on our doorstep, yet with a strong sense of community. The neighbours are genuinely lovely, and there's a quiet charm about the area that makes you feel at ease. Now, with our parents having sadly passed and us moving away, it's time for a new chapter. The house may need some modernisation, but it has a great energy – a real soul. We truly believe that with a little care, it will once again become a happy, vibrant home for someone new to love as much as we have."
Michael's View...If you can do the work, here's a blank canvas for you. Knock down a wall, cut down trees & tier the garden - just some of the jobs that await you here.
Area View...Hughenden Valley is a sprawling village located just north of High Wycombe. Covering nearly 8,000 acres of primarily arable and wooded land, it lies approximately 3 miles from central Wycombe, 12.5 miles south of Aylesbury, and about 35 miles northwest of London.
A significant landmark in Hughenden Valley is Hughenden Manor, a Georgian mansion purchased and modified by Benjamin Disraeli, later the Earl of Beaconsfield, in 1848. Disraeli, who served twice as the UK's Prime Minister, resided there until his death in 1881 and is interred in a vault beneath the nearby Church of St Michael and All Angels. The church also features a unique memorial to Disraeli, commissioned by Queen Victoria—the only instance of a reigning monarch erecting a memorial to a subject. Today, Hughenden Manor is managed by the National Trust and, along with the surrounding woodlands, is open to the public
