Step Inside:
This well-presented detached family home, dating back to 1864 and once serving as the original farmhouse, offers a wealth of character alongside comfortable everyday living. A granite porch leads into the welcoming living room, where two granite inglenooks house a wood burner and open fire, creating a warm and traditional feel. French doors open into the conservatory, which spans the width of the property and enjoys views over open countryside.
From the living room, a door leads to the inner hallway with understairs storage and a beautiful stained-glass window. The kitchen/dining room is laid with slate flagstone flooring and features wraparound units, a Belfast sink with brass taps, and a recessed electric Rangemaster cooker. The kitchen also includes an integral fridge and washing machine, with space for a dishwasher. Internal French doors from the kitchen open back into the conservatory, which has a patterned tiled floor and a uPVC glazed door out to the garden.
Upstairs, the first-floor landing leads to a family bathroom with a cast iron bath and shower over, glass screen, WC, basin, heated towel rail, and airing cupboard housing the hot water tank (heated by oil or electricity). A separate cloakroom also offers loft access. Three bedrooms to the rear of the property — two doubles and a single — overlook the open field with the main bedroom featuring built-in wardrobes and a charming fireplace. A further delightful double bedroom positioned to the front of the property, has built in storage.
Step Outside: The beautifully maintained gardens are a real feature of the property, offering a combination of practical space and countryside charm. A stone-built garden shed and timber shed provide storage, while a spring-fed system supplies water to the WCs and for garden use. A winding path leads from the conservatory through the side garden to a raised seating area and onto the parking area.
The double garage, with barn-style metal doors, offers additional storage space and room for household appliances. An office is located in the rear corner of the garage and serves as the hub for the property’s internet connection. A significant garden room — a block-built, single-storey structure with power, light, water, and drainage — offers excellent potential for residential conversion (subject to consents), or as a home office or hobby space. Driveway parking is available for two to three vehicles, and a single garage on a possessory title also belongs to the property.
Sellers Insight
Having been living in our lovely home for the past 21 years we have experienced such happy times and beautiful memories with our family. The joy of watching our grandchildren playing happily together in our garden being just one of many. The tranquillity and peacefulness of our home is what we have loved, just perfect for us. Seeing young deer walking across the field. Cattle grazing in the Spring and Summer month- popping their heads of the garden wall. Hearing the birds, woodpeckers in our trees, even squirrels come into our quiet garden. We have enjoyed walking and cycling the Camel Trail, long moorland treks and walking to the village with its beautiful Green and enjoying a glass of wine in the Blisland Inn. Living in just an amazing area of Cornwall has been wonderful.
