Comment From Robert Reed Of Gascoigne Halman
I have enjoyed a wonderful career in Cheshire marketing and selling unique property, but just when I thought I had seen it all, I encountered this amazing one off buying opportunity, known as the Croft.
If ever there was an example of a property offering more than the initial drive by appearance might suggest, this is the one! The great surprise with this house is what lies behind the principal residence, with the overall site extending to circa five acres and incorporating formal gardens to the residence, a fully enclosed paddock and recreation field. Such a combination in a village centre is extremely rare. The latter is presently let out to a Cricket Club, with just eighteen months remaining on the lease and this does provide an income to the owners of The Croft with details upon request via the selling agents.
The recreation field has a large single storey pavilion building, practice nets and a pristine pitch which has been used in its present format for many years standing. In the future, when the lease has expired, the owners of the Croft may choose to restore the land for private purposes to compliment the main dwelling. Other potential uses include a football pitch or similar. The pavilion has great future potential with utilities including three toilets and two shower rooms.
