A Beautiful Three Bedroom Family Home In The Lowbrook Academy Catchment
The Sellers View...
We moved into number 25 in 2017 and are sad to be leaving as we have loved our time here as both of our children have grown up here but with more space needed for an office to create a work from home environment it’s time to say goodbye.
During our time we have invested in creating a lovely outdoor space where almost every weekend of the summer we have enjoyed barbeques and pool parties for our kids, their friends, and our own.
Barn Drive is a great community with households spanning lots of generations who all, and over the past couple of years we’ve seen more younger families move into the street. Being a quiet cul-de-sac location, the children are often able to play in the street on bikes and scooters. Especially with all houses having off street parking.
Inside the house the lounge/diner is flooded with light and is a great space to spend time together as a family or put your feet up and watch a film.
Locally, there are several small parks with play apparatus, with Ockwells Park where there’s a fantastic café (Juniors) and softplay as well as a huge green space for walks, as well as the local park run every Sunday.
Poached, Nibbles are also great café’s as well as a Chinese takeaways and a fish and grill at the local Wessex Way shops, and local Morrisons and Co-op.
Behind the local pub, The Thatched Cottage, there’s ample woodland walks all the way up through the Thicket which will take you to The Shire Horse. If fine dining is for you Maidenhead and the surrounding areas have one of the highest density of Michelin stars in the world outside of a major city.
In terms of connectivity the Elizabeth line can get you into the West End in 40 minutes and Heathrow and Gatwick are close by for holidays as well as the M4 and M40 to access London and the South West.
We absolutely love life in Maidenhead and will be staying close by, but it’s time to pass number 25 on to it’s next loving owner.
