Owners Insights:

What do you love about your home?

The location of the apartment is truly amazing, it was a pleasure to walk out every morning onto Cloudesley Square and Barnsbury still is my favourite spot in Islington. The apartment itself had a great layout for us, we enjoyed entertaining so we wanted something with a large enough reception area to have friends round for dinner. Despite being lower ground the apartment was surprisingly bright and had a good sized main bedroom and before we had children the second bedroom was used as an office and occasional bedroom which did fit a small double bed. Having the outside area of the reception and bedroom was great to sit out on an evening for a glass of wine or a morning coffee and the vault storage was handy too.

Why are you selling?

We have had the apartment almost 10 years and it has been a wonderful home where we had our first child. We have now moved out of London and the time has come to move on and let someone else enjoy it as much as we did.

What do you love about the area?

Barnsbury has an abundance of great pubs, offering so many options to choose from. Kings Cross and Granary Square are just a short walk down the towpath, with a Waitrose, Coal Drops Yard, and more to explore. The excellent transport links, from Angel and Highbury and Islington, make it easy to get around, though I often enjoyed walking to the West End, City, Clerkenwell, and Shoreditch. The area is also home to fantastic restaurants, with endless dining choices right on your doorstep. The nightlife are great, with frequent visits to Sadler's Wells and drinks at Exmouth Market, just 10 minutes away. For green spaces, there are plenty of parks nearby, with Highbury Fields being a favorite, and for longer strolls, Newington Green, London Fields, Victoria Park, and Highgate Woods are also not far. Families will appreciate the excellent nursery options, like Beckett House Montessori, just a 2-minute walk from the flat. And for those who enjoy outdoor space, I had a plot at Culpeper Gardens, which was perfect for anyone seeking more greenery.
