Description
A cosy and charming stone-built period property, 2 Beacon Terrace is a characterful home which enjoys countryside views at the rear and is being sold with no forward chain. This two double bedroom property has a low maintenance courtyard garden and is located a stone's throw from the centre of South Brent village, with access to moorland and country walks from the doorstep.
A wrought iron gate between two brick pillars opens into the front garden, which is enclosed by a low-level stone and brick wall. On the ground floor is a pretty reception room, which has original architectural features including picture rails, wide door architrave and exposed floorboards. If desired, this reception room could be utilised as a third bedroom. A second reception room at the rear has a wood-burning stove, and countryside views looking towards Ugborough Beacon. From here, stairs lead down to the lower ground floor, which opens into a kitchen-dining-family room. The kitchen area is equipped with base and wall units, solid wood worksurfaces and the addition of a garden room with a glass roof has opened up this space creating a further reception/ dining space, which then opens onto the West-facing bijou courtyard.
On the first floor, there are two charming double bedrooms, with the back bedroom enjoying the view towards Ugborough Beacon, and the bathroom, which has a white suite.

south brent
The moorland village of South Brent stands in the valley of the River Avon under the southern foothills of Dartmoor National Park and on the northern edge of the lovely South Hams, fifteen miles from the centre of Plymouth.
The village is one with a strong community with three churches, one of which dates back to Norman times, a primary school and a wide variety of shops. There are well-regarded community colleges at Totnes and Ivybridge, approximately eight and five miles distant respectively, and both towns offer a comprehensive range of facilities for the wider community. Some of the finest beaches on the south coast, along with the South West Coast Path, are all within easy reach.
Situated just off the A38 Expressway, the village is well placed for quick access to Plymouth, Torbay and Exeter for which there are regular bus services. Rail services can be found at Ivybridge, approximately five miles distant, offering services to Plymouth, Totnes, Newton Abbot, Exeter St David's and on to Bristol, Cardiff and London.
