Homeowner experience:
"Living at Bollo Lane has been a lovely experience for me over the last five years, having purchased this flat as a first time buyer at the end of 2019.
Wonderfully cosy and comfortable, as well as great views (and sunsets!) this flat has excellent insulation and soundproofing. Though compact, it benefits from plenty of natural sunlight, creating a bright atmosphere, and it's been really nice making the space my own.
The surrounding area is lovely, with great views and a peaceful ambiance. One of my favourite features is the well-maintained roof garden on the 8th floor—a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the skyline, or host friends and family. The building itself is modern and well-kept, and there is a really lovely community that has been built with neighbours here.
The location is also brilliant for travel, being so close to the District and Piccadilly underground lines, as well as the Overground too. It's just a short walk to Chiswick High Road, which has lots of shops, supermarkets, restaurants and pubs to offer. The Swan, Duke of Sussex and The Hound are all personal favourites, or The Bollo, which is just up the road!
Chiswick Business Park is right behind the building, which has beautiful green space to enjoy in the summer, as well as amazing amenities such as a Virgin Active, Starbucks and Pret. They even have a resident Heron, who likes to oversee and fish in the lake.
Gunnersbury Park is also not too far away, which has a leisure centre and hosts lots of music/festivals over the summer months too.
The building feels extremely secure also, with two doors you need fob access to get through. I have never felt anything but completely safe here, which was one of my number one priorities finding a first home. There are parcel lockers too, along with secure bike storage."
Pocket homes are designed for first time buyers (anyone that currently does not own a home), earns below the income cap and borough restricted and prioritised. They are compact homes offered at a lower value to that of a typical one-bedroom apartment in that area to help first time buyers get onto the property ladder. They are aimed for owner occupiers, renting of these homes are restricted but consent to let can be granted based on exceptional circumstances which is assessed on a case-by-case basis.
