The local town of Dufftown, approximately 2 miles away, is a historic Scottish town with a history of distilling whisky and is best known as the Whisky Capital of the World, thanks to its seven working distilleries. Dufftown produces more malt whisky than any other town in Scotland; this declaration puts the town on the famed Malt Whisky Trail.
