Brickworks Says

Smack-bang in the city, this apartment is ideal for anyone who wants to be in the thick of the action. Situated on the seventh floor of a modern development where Spitalfields, Whitechapel and the Square Mile meet, the flat faces southwest and soaks up the sun, which streams through floor-to-ceiling windows in the bedroom and the living room’s balcony doors. You can breathe in the open skies, look down on the bustle below, and enjoy views of the city stretching out before you.

The owners have brought the space to life with audacious colour. The sunny yellow living space is accented by bold red, and the bedroom in deep green makes it feel like you've stepped into a soothing hideaway. Everything has been designed with quality in mind. The contemporary kitchen has ample space to house all your appliances, and there's not one but two good-sized storage cupboards for all of life's other bits.

Alie Street is at the nexus of some of London's most creative and coveted neighbourhoods. Dip into some culture at the Whitechapel Art Gallery or the Gilbert & George Centre, sample the spicy delights on Brick Lane or stroll through Spitalfields Market. You could never tire of the gastronomic options or the choice of the East End's finest pubs, but should you ever want a change of scene, Shoreditch and Hackney are just down the road.

The Owners Say

The best of London's diversity is on your doorstep––yet up on the seventh-floor corner, it's always been so quiet. It's like a refuge, made to feel all the more so by knowing so much life is right there. As lovers of London, it's been a brilliant base.

We make ample use of the balcony. We love cooking, and the open kitchen is a lovely place to cook and invite friends over. For such a cosy flat, the bedroom is bigger than usual. We spent lockdowns in here and never felt claustrophobic. Indeed, we felt ensconced and made many happy memories in this little den of ours.

With Spitalfields two streets away, it feels very much a part of that milieu. Spitalfields Market is our regular haunt. We walk everywhere. I often walk up through the back streets of the East End, grab a coffee, pop into a bookshop, and then end up at Arnold Circus to sit out and read. The community is so diverse. It's hard to understate just how wonderful that is. You're at this intersection point of so many different aspects of London and feel like you are part of each of them.
