Set in the heart of leafy Wellswood, this chain free, two bedroom maisonette provides spacious, well-presented accommodation, neutrally decorated throughout and occupies the upper two floors of this character period property. Nestled just a short stroll from the local ‘village’ shopping parade the property provides well-proportioned living space, with the sizeable kitchen/dining room linking into a comfortable sitting room, with two double bedrooms and the family bathroom. Externally the property is complimented with a sunny private courtyard garden and allocated parking space.

Ilsham Mews is enviably positioned within a stone’s throw from the amenities at Wellswood which has retained a village ambience boasting a parade of independent shops, including a French pastisserie, post office, newsagents, upmarket deli and café, bistro, restaurants and local Kents Pub. There is also the well supported St Matthias Church and the highly regarded Ilsham Primary School equally close at hand. The property stands within a 20 minute walk to local award winning beaches and Torquay's harbourside which between them offer seasonal cafes, kayak hire and a diving school.

Owner Insight

"We have lived in Wellswood for 18 years, and feel privileged to be part of its friendly community. One of the joys is being able to walk out of the gate and, within minutes, have access to all amenities including a pharmacy, post office, newsagents, restaurants, cafes, hairdressers and a vibrant pub.

The property is warm and cosy in the winter and cool in the summer. We've had many happy gatherings in the sunny courtyard which is a suntrap and having private parking is also a bonus.

The local walks are wonderful, encompassing both coastal and woodland. The two local beach cafes serve delicious snacks and provide opportunities to enjoy kayaking, swimming, paddle boarding etc. Also within comfortable walking distance is the town and harbour, as well as an excellent bus service just around the corner."
