Owner's comments
"We have lived here for just over 10 years. Our daughter was only little when we moved here & we have loved living here. The kitchen/diner is so sunny & looks out onto the garden which is a little sun trap & spent many a Summers enjoying the weather out there. The area is lovely & it’s great that we are close to the countryside & coast, but not too far from Barnstaple (best of both worlds)!"
Accommodation
Walking in through the front door, you will see stairs leading to the first floor straight ahead, and a door that opens into the sitting room. This pleasant room enjoys a window to the front aspect, handy understairs storage and it flows through to a small lobby area, presenting a downstairs cloakroom which comprises a WC and wash hand basin. Here there is then the open plan kitchen/dining room, every modern family's dream space. This makes for the hub of the home, with space for a dining table and chairs, along with double doors stepping out to the rear, west facing garden. The kitchen itself is fitted with a range of wall and base cupboards and drawers, recently replaced composite sink/drainer among worktop space aplenty. Space and plumbing is provided for both a washing machine and dishwasher, while there is also space for a free standing fridge/freezer. The boiler is mounted to the wall in a corner cupboard and there is an electric oven, gas hob and extractor canopy over.
Rising to the first floor, a landing presents access to the loft and all of the upstairs accommodation. Bedroom two is a double room positioned at the back of the property, along with the third single bedroom. To the front is a family bathroom which consists of a white suite with chrome fitments and a partially tiled surround. Here there is a WC, wash hand basin and a panelled bath. Situated also at the front, and completing the home is the main bedroom, a comfortable double room boasting a fitted wardrobe and en-suite shower room. This includes a WC, wash hand basin and an enclosed shower cubicle. Throughout the home, accommodation is well proportioned and beautifully laid out by the current owners who keep the property in excellent condition.
Outside & parking
To the front of the home, there is ample unrestricted on street parking available, while the driveway is position in a small courtyard area at the back of the property. Here there is a separate garage, accessed via traditional 'up and over' door, with a space to park one vehicle directly in front.
The garden can be found via a pedestrian gate at the back, which also helps with easy access to the garage and driveway, or via double doors from the dining area at the back of the home. The current owners have significantly upgraded the garden, landscaped with an attractive patio area which adjoins the back of the home itself, with a path following up to a further section of patio and the gate to the rear. The rest is laid with artificial lawn for easy maintenance, decorated with a range of potted plants and bordered with painted fences at each side. Boasting a directly west facing aspect, this low maintenance garden captures plenty of sunshine most of the day and into the evening, also filling the back of the home with natural light.
