Vendor Comment: After nearly 10 wonderful years in Redland Heights, we will be very sad to say goodbye to this flat. It has been the perfect first home for us as a couple—offering plenty of space to host friends and work from home, all while being in a fantastic location. One of the things we’ve loved most is the outlook onto the green opposite, which makes it easy to forget how close you are to the city. In the summer, we’ve spent many evenings enjoying a picnic or BBQ on Redland Green. Whiteladies Road is just a five-minute walk in one direction, while Gloucester Road is ten minutes the other way—giving you an incredible selection of independent cafes, restaurants, and bars right on your doorstep. There are also frequent bus and train connections to the rest of the city, yet thanks to the flat’s height and positioning, there is very little passing traffic noise.
The flat itself is a great size for an individual or couple. It’s quiet, secure, and part of a friendly building. The other flats have always been owner-occupied, and as owners, we collectively manage the building. This has always been an easy and stress-free process, with our once-a-year meeting taking place at the local pub (The Shakespeare—a spot we’ll really miss!). Parking in the area is straightforward. The residents’ parking scheme works really well, and we’ve never struggled to find a space, with plenty available on Redland Road or at the top of Luccombe Hill. The double yellow lines outside have actually been a benefit, allowing us to pull up directly outside the front door to unload larger items—something that wouldn’t be possible if there were parked cars there. We’ve absolutely loved our time at Redland Heights and hope the next owners will enjoy living here just as much as we have.
