Owners Comments....
We decided to move from our 3 bed semi 11 years ago when our boys reached their early 20s as we all needed extra space.
We found no 4 and despite it needing a major renovation we fell in love with its quirky layout that offered us all the flexibility to have our own space.
Once we'd made a few changes and updated various aspects of it, No 4 was perfect for us because of the layout in so much as the different levels felt like we all had our own floor - we had the top floor, our youngest the middle and our eldest the annex. And the large kitchen and dining room gave us the perfect place for us all to spend quality time together. We continued to renovate throughout the last 10 years and have now done pretty much everything.
The location is peaceful, the neighbours friendly and with easy access to both Caversham and Reading, local shops, restaurants and pubs along with great parks and woods nearby for dog walking it was perfect.
Now that our boys are fortunate to have their own homes it is far too big for just two of us so we would love another family to be able to enjoy it as much as we have.
Dan & Neil Estate Agents’ comments...
We are so excited to present this spectacular family home which is situated on a really lovely quiet road in Caversham. There are only a number of properties on this road so there is nice community feel which is ideal for families. This superb property is a split level home with 5 bedrooms and so many upgrades throughout by the current owners.
Through the front door you've got a huge impressive entrance hall which is also used as a dining room, a downstairs cloakroom and then a shower room on the other side. Then you have an absolutely incredible kitchen with the all important island and then one of the entrances onto the garden. You then go down a level to an amazing annexe space which has a big living room, study, massive utility room and bedroom 5 with an en suite. Upstairs you have 2 bedrooms and an en suite then up another level you have a further 2 bedrooms and a family bathroom.
The garden is a beautiful tiered space with incredible views and an outside office and garage too. This property really is so unique and special - absolutely ideal for growing families and the space is perfect for entertaining.
Area Comments...
The house is tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac and fronts onto trees. Just a short walk away is Caversham High Street, a popular hub for local residents, with restaurants, pubs, café, a big Waitrose store and more...! There are good transport links into Reading from here as well and with the Elizabeth line taking you directly into central London, you can be from your door step into Central London within the hour, how amazing is that.
